Wow! Brilliant idea terra-pirate! You also gave me another idea as to how i may rig up a pair of 'binoculars' when I'm viewing the 50" TV 'on deck'. Two tubes with a cordless mouse between them. A rotating ball (as in a wired mouse) will be rotated against the laser optical aperture thereby making the binocular view on screen move around.
