BTW - you replied to me about the MQK Converter earlier. I note that it's a desk top bit via Alt+Tab, but you know, there is no documentation with it re: use. Is there some such residing in an obscure thread somewhere? I can't figure out the example that's given, doesn't seem to make sense. Sorry' I know it's a different thread, but just thought I'd be efficient.
I keep it in a folder on my Desktop. There are two files - GridData.bin and MQK_Converter. Double-clicking MQK_Converter brings up it's little screen. Just enter the four-digit KM grid in the MQK Code box and click 'Convert', and the latitude and longitude will appear, and the crosshairs on the map will show you the precise location.

I just realized that it doesn't convert both ways. If a radio message gives you latitude and longitude you can't use the MQK to find the grid. There are a couple of online converters which will do that job, but that becomes a hassle when playing the game. Fortunately those messages are all reality-candy anyway. They are historic messages that have no bearing on the game.
