James Arness, of
Gunsmoke fame, is 6'7", and fought in WW2. I only mention it because at the beachhead at Anzio he was ordered to be first off the landing craft. They figured if the water came to his chest it was too deep for anyone else. It only came to his waist.
I wonder if Cpl Roberts-Smith has any similar tales. I really appreciate his comment about "heroes". Many have said it before, but it always takes one to say it and mean it. What a guy!
