No. The only mods it's ever safe to add in mid-patrol are sound mods. Some simple graphics mods are okay, but it's really not worth the chance. Something as big as Open Hatch is definetely a Bad Idea.

Also, the Open Hatch that comes with GWX is an early version. The full Open Hatch mod is here:
