But note, not all of those italians are rennaisance. Fermi started the first radioactive chain reaction in the basement of Chicago university in 1942.

Marconi pioneered radio communication around the turn of the 20th century, including first transatlantic transmissions.

So some high tech 'firsts' have been by italians.

and as you suggest, art, literature, banking, finance, as well as architecture, music and food have all been positively improved by italians.

In fact putting aside your humorous Slovenian national chauvinism for a moment, you have to admit that Italy has run a pretty high Civ score by the standards of the world at large
