Sounds like a new Flotilla of VII's about to sail. I'll be joining you guys in the small boats soon. Probably sooner than later, the way things are going now. I'm currently with U-262, a VII-C/42, in Feb. of '45. We have taken damage after an encounter with 10-12 Sunderlands, and an accompanying DD. Out of the pounding we managed to stop flooding in three compartments and got away with 49% hull integrity. We were discovered and attacked 300k W of Scapa Flow, and have made our way to a new position due N, where the air cover is considerably less. We will set up camp in this area along one of the two convoy routes and wait for any targets of opportunity. At this point in the war, killing targets is still priority one, but passing time is our friend.
Whatever happens, a future career in a Duck sounds refreshing.
