I think it's pretty cool!
Of course the more traditional ones are functional and good-looking, especially the fancier ones shown in the thread.
On the other hand I haven't worn a wristwatch in more than forty years. Just don't like the feel of the things. My phone has a clock, and while it takes a few extra seconds to dig it out, I also don't need to know the time except when I'm waiting for a bus, so it all works out.
