I am aware of Vistas' quirks, but it wasn't my choice. Came with the machine. After using it for awhile, I tried to get the company to to downgrade the machine to XP. They wouldn't agree. But I did learn to control the files. I put the virtual store out of business.
I know I won't have a problem with Win 7, Vista has convinced me of that. Ubi has convinced me not to upgrade by adding that DRM garbage onto their games. Enough said.
Subsim has conviced me I can enjoy the game without the other two.
I am just going to use the laptop as a test bed for the mods. Hopefully, I'll learn a few things along the way. My old machine is my primary game machine with XP, and I'll use it to enjoy the game.
