Yes, I had the same problem once. It was not a bug. I had missed a radio message that my home base was changed
. Not knowing this, I went and docked at my old homeport. Same as you no medals or uboat upgrades. So, I started a new mission, my grid to patrol was NULL and my new base(Lorient) was listed as where to dock.
