Before reading your post, I did the following: Uninstalled SH3. Reinstalled SH3. Installed patch v. 1.4b (but not any of the previous patches). Downloaded all the GWX3 files and ran the exe. file...BINGO!!! Got the shortcut icons on the desktop for pdf manual, mods and SH3GWX3.0. Launched the game and.......SUCCESS!!! Now, question: Do I need to go back and repeat the process except to individually install all patches (v. 1.0-v.1.4b) in numerical sequence for game to run properly? NOTE: This whole process has been worth the effort if for no other reason than to increase my meager computer skills.
