ACSoft, you're right. The air on the North Sea and Atlantic is
clear (= transparent) on a clear day (not fuzzy). Back in WW2 days there was also much less pollution in the air than today in certain high populated, heavy industry areas. However, reality/realism is NOT a matter of taste, it either is or it is not, like a woman cannot be a little bit pregnant.
