Have to watch the clip, NC Zoo states African cat of sorts.

Mountain lions more west look different, bigger heads, thinker through the torso, ect...This cat has a thin upper torso, wider lower. Most mountains went out in the 50's although several have been spotted through the last years, one near Hanging Rock, about 30 minutes more west of this sighting. Also several sightings of black pumas in the mountains.

We do have a large Bobcat population in NC mountains all the way to the lower plains extending to Mt. Airy...but ain't a bob.
