Glass jars of the explosive hexamethylene triperoxide diamine, or HMTD, were found Thursday as investigators searched the backyard of a home in the 1900 block of Via Scott, officials said. They described the substance as a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, hexamine, and citric or sulfuric acid.
