For the longest time, I didn't have any casualities on my patrol. That is until last week. I was chasing a ship through very heavy seas and steady rain, when I lost contact. I surfaced and decided to post lookouts and see if I could spot him as I knew that he was very close. Whilst on the surface, I was rammed (run-over) by an American Liberty Ship (Nov 1939) as the visibility was down to less than 300metres.

This ended up killing 2 of my crew (including my medic) and wounding another crew-man. I finally got to award the wounded in action medal to that crewman as I could not heal him with my dead medic! I didn't have any problems awarding the medal luckily, but now I have to train 2 new WO's.
Fair Seas and happy hunting
