The title of this is pure bs.Sounds like torvald and a few others are the ones with as he put it "s*it for brains" I say this because it sounds like he has fallen for the class warfare scheme that the Left has peddled for years.Class warfare exploits people's own feelings of inadequacy related to their current economic situation, but it is easier to blame the "fat, rich guy" in lieu of one's self and his/her decisions. Now not everyone is responsible for their situation but lets be honest, vast majority are.The Left exploits this or tries to, does not work overall but works on many, too sad.

Torvald, your statement about "If I had that much money I would prob not use the internet" etc I believe you have been watching too much tv.Pretty much everyone with access uses the internet, even the people making a million dollars a year. How do I know this? I know a few people who make that much, prob more, they use the internet plenty.

I think a person's view of rich is subjective. My upbringing was comfortable, more so than most and according to the libs, my parents make too much money. However, I saw what rich is once I was in college, people who have trust funds aka really family money. A friend of mine in college literally could drop $500 or more at the bar and not think twice, no problem. This guy once dropped $2,000 taking all of us out to the bars etc, no problem. However, I never envied him, just the luck of the draw as to who his parents are.I am in law school now and there are people here who are actually rich.

Anyway, the Republicans are NOT holding the benefits hostage.A more truthful description of the situation is the Democrats want to raise taxes on one group(originally wanted to raise them on ALL but decided to try and pander to the middle class) of people in a sluggish economy in order to pay for their crap. The Republicans are essentially fighting the good fight, to keep EVERYONE'S taxes at current rate and then find a way to actually pay for the unemployment benefits, then extend them. The end will prob see the tax cuts extended for two years and unemployment benefits reinstated, adding more to the debt I am sure.Once new Congress comes in, will see some real responsibility. The Dems do still control things, keep this in mind.
