The AI can be so fail sometimes. Just tried to dock with a terran Solar Planet L. My Nova Vanguard proceeds to fly into one of the Solar Panels. Bounces back with 25% shields left. Goes to try it again before I step in. I tell it to auto-dock again. And the bastard tries to fly into the solar panel again.
I finally manually dock it.
