I'm glad the public is finally saying
"Enough is enough!" to this government intrusion. The questions of radiation safety and TSA personnel getting off on groping us are almost beside the point. To the aircrews, it's absurd that they get subjected to the same scan-or-grope treatment while the ground crews don't. The system is only good for catching dumb terrorists, not smart ones.
It isn't even about true security, it's about
control -- priming us for even more violations of privacy till our daily lives look like a combo of Orwell's
1984 and "Minority Report".

This is no joke. Once you give bureaucrats this kind of power, they'll never have enough. They'll always say it's to protect us from the Evildoers. History shows that when the onset of tyranny is gradual, people often do not recognize it until it's too late.

The question we should be asking is not whether strip-scanning is a good idea or not, but rather: at what point will you recognize tyranny, if not now? (And then what will you do?)
