Running such cosims as tabletops over long time (no matter whether PBM, AI or solo play) is fascinating, but is severly hampered by the immense space that is needed and gets blocked for the wholoe duration. This is where PCs are extremely helpful, this, and the sometimes epic background calculations needed. Nevertheless it feels good to use those pincers on those material counters scattered around on that solid printed map.
