Blair said the same thing that Bush was a man who would call a spade a spade. I mean, I ripped into the guy during his presidency and some of the things he did still make me shake my head, but his quick talk to the cameras at the G8 summit at Gleneagles as news broke of the 7/7 attacks, well, it made me glad to have the US as a friend and his words were genuinely heartfelt.

For my dues, I was talking to Joe Pasquale the other day, and I've also met Jay Kay and Jarvis Cocker whilst at work.
