That's because opening the file just accesses a program the lets you play it. Okay, click Start and search for Sound Recorder. Windows always has one in there somewhere. Once you find it create a desktop icon so you can get to it any time. You need to go to Sound Recorder first, and use it to bring up and open the file. Then you can change the volume, pitch and play with a couple of effects.
