That's odd....Sounds alot like how my first career ended on my second patrol, before I found out that destroyers will call in help.

CE: "Are you sure you want to attack a destroyer this close to thier base?"

Me: "Don't be such a wimp. What could possibly go wrong?"

CE: "But, shouldn't we at least dive?"

Me: "You're fired. When we get back to port, I'm gonna find me a new CE."

SO: "Contact! Warship moving fast! Closing!"
SO: "Contact! Warship moving fast! Closing!"
SO: "Contact! Warship moving fast! Closing!"
SO: "Contact! Warship moving fast! Closing!"
SO: "Contact! Warship moving fast! Closing!"
