well I removed successfully the push to talk ' from the file and that got rid of the 'PUSH TO TALK ENABLED' text but still no joy.
Re 5.1 speech: I have WinXP and my Speech Properties panel displays 'Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1' as well 'Microsoft English (U.S.) v6.1 Recognizer'
So I assume I already have it. But I did download SDK 5.1 and this added another option of 'SAPI Developer Sample Engine' on the list.
Thing is I can successfully do voice training with 'Microsoft English (U.S.) v6.1 Recognizer' but if I chose 'Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1' to voice train a profile none of my words are picked up by the recognizer despite the microphone working. But also...if I load SH3_GWX (Gold) and use Shoot 1.6 with the 'Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1' profile selected it does not work, but if I switch to 'Microsoft English (U.S.) v6.1 Recognizer' SH3_GWX does work with Shoot 1.6. So what's up with 5.1? Why won't it train with me?
