Not the hospital ships. They are 103; troop ship category. The generic merchants are usually 102=cargo and some 101=tanker.
Replacing a 102 with 103 generic is not a good idea as you would get any troopship and those would not be likely outside a convoy.
I have added the PTR to the single ships because, although in the 103 it was not actually a troop ship and I have added some of the NHOS as they were more likely to travel alone.
I beleive Jason made some generic escorts but not sure as I use my own RND file where, with the C-Class having DCs I have made all the DDs generic so I can not guess the convoy from past experience. personal choice.
I do this to improve game play and not for historical accuracy. The only destroyers to escort convoys (other than rare cases) were the V&W (old engines not sutible for fleet work), Hunt class and the converted A-H classes to convoy escorts (wrongly called River class in SH3)
I wish we could make the Hunt and V&W classes DE types so there could be a better selection of what really escorted convoys and still vary.
