I don't know of anybody in Europe that takes the EU seriously either. The European Parliament wants member nations to cut their national debts, and yet tells the people it has to have more money, for more bureaucracy that already is expensive, ineffective, unfair, and quite probably - unless they fully open the books - illegal.

The costs are indeed destroying us from within, but it's not the demands of the people, just the faceless bureaucrats in their ivory towers - not even just the one tower, but two!

Although this is just my opinion, I'm quite certain that if the UK had been given the chance of a referendum on ANY part of the EU it would be pretty much a resounding 'NON'.

How do the average man-on-the-streets feel throughout the rest of Europe?
