Either I didn't look at the sun, or I did a wrong keypress - wasn't there something with shig+pgup/pgdn and/or ctrl+p?

Yeah - on my X800XL the sun is borderline too big/bloomy, at least some of the times, but it was that way even before I activated the adaptive AA thing - I didn't notice any difference though from this latest tweak - it's always been that way with this card
