Hehe, what makes you think it's not a new moon, not that I know anything about them? Don't they just mark the first day and usually a cresent? I guess technically they can't be seen, except for an eclipse shadow, but reading a cresent can sometimes be seen with an eclipse on the horizon. Obvious both moon and sun set together. I only know what little I've been reading., but enough for a game eh. However, not that it's much of a SS, but that last shot with the binocs with moon to the left, pretty dang close.

Not many to look for. The only other one I tried to find when I did this was the eclipse in Feb 04 between Midway and Attu. Still did get in range, but would have to find a better horizon position and had enough of doing that.


I loaded the program for celestial navigation that removes your sub icon, ect..amazing program and fun, but it becomes the whole focus of the game, not sure I can hang with it long, not smart enough and running into land is getting old...but for a game was surprised you can find them within the correct time period.
