Default U-118 Sunk at Azores washed ashore at Hastings??

Hi, a little confused as all my data says that U118 was a type XB launched 23rd September 1941 and after 6 patrols was sunk ssw of Azores. U118 was commanded by KK Werner Czygan, He and 43 men were lost and 15 survivors were picked up by the destroyer USS Osmand Ingram. Have just discovered that U118 washed ashore at Hastings (long way from Azores!!), don't know the date but from the pics I'd say during or near the end of the war.

Any other info would be appreciated,
Thanks.
