All year, Democrats have been searching for a way to fire up the base and get liberals as enthusiastic about voting as Republicans appear to be. A few weeks ago, President Obama and Vice-President Biden tried the scolding method, but that didn't work.

Last week, the party moved on to a new theme: Foreign money is stealing the election! Obama, Biden, the DNC, and MoveOn.org have all accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a GOP-friendly business lobby, as well as other independent conservative groups, of illegally using foreign contributions to influence the vote.

The Republican National Committee is filing a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission over what they believe are illegal donations made to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign from foreign sources.

"We believe they have been accepting donations from foreign nationals and excessive contributions," said RNC Communications Director Danny Diaz. He said there were "questions with regards to the legitimacy" of the hundreds of millions low-dollar contributions Obama has received.
