Yeah. I read about that 'no judge needed' thing after I posted. That GREATLY disturbs me.

Someone can take a disliking to me or someone I know and monitor them till they find something they dislike and potentially illegal, disloyal, or whatever they want to call it and THEN use that to bootstrap a real investigation based on a 'I think'. No proof needed till they have something at sometime that meets the 'reasonable doubt' clause of the Constitution.

We have so many laws and fines that any American is just a traffic stop away from jail. I know many an officer and they have told me that they can pretty much arrest anyone if desired. There are so many laws that you are pretty much guilty of SOMETHING if they wanted to take the time to look. The reason they don't is the time vs reward ratio. They said they are looking for the really bad guys, not the petty ones. They do not want to waste the time on the small stuff.

You know.. I do not like the ACLU. In fact I find myself at odds with them 80 percent of the time.

I hope they wipe the floor with them on this one. I may actually donate to them over this issue.

Want to know the REAL sad part. We have not 'lost' our rights. We gave them up willingly for 'security' and 'convience'. But that is a whole different discussion.
