The external sound for more noisy engines that were provided were less acute because they were within the submarine structure and in some ways almost under water, that way was very difficult to escape a lot of engine noise outside .
As for the internal sound of these engines, there are actually two types, like the video that you sent me, with internal valve system and the external valve system, which he used specifically these submarines (I mean the valve system is the component of engine that open and close the inlet valve air / fuel mixture and exhaust gases from the engine).
