I am afraid you are the Italian tricolour with Savoy's shield and a Royal crown in the middle was in use from 1861-1946 during the time it was the Kingdom of Italy, remember Mussolini was dismissed after a vote of no confidence on the Grand Fascist Council and after Hitler rescued him he proclaimed the Italian Social Republic that was nothing but a puppet state and they had a different flag that of the Kingdom of Italy.
