I think it's good practice. It's never really been an issue (or people would have mentioned it
), but with the newer releases of SH3Cmdr starting to get more into changing core game files, I think it's a good idea...just in case.
Whenever I finish up in SH3 I go straight back into SH3Cmdr and perform a rollback. But I'm prolly a bit compulsive in this regard. Mind you, in 7 months of playing SH3 I haven't had one CTD or game problem (touch wood).
