Obama reaches out to bring Iran to the negotiating table to talk, in a speech to the UN.
Ahmadinejad told the 192-nation assembly "that some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy, and its grips on the Middle East, in order to save the Zionist regime"
The state departments response.. "Rather than representing the aspirations and goodwill of the Iranian people, Mr. Ahmadinejad has yet again chosen to spout vile conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic slurs that are as abhorrent and delusional as they are predictable."
For 20 months Iran has spit on the hand of the US. Now Mr. Obama wants to talk to a nation which openly contends that the US government conspired to kill 3000 of its own citizens.
Iran views Obama as weak and why shouldn't they?
