There's no 'may' about it, and it's not a matter of how you or anyone else looks at it. The Subsim forums are, essentially, a bit of electronic private property that the owner has opened up for public use, with the terms of use posted for all to see. You can "look at it" any way you like, but your perspective isn't the one that sets the terms or decides if and when they're being violated.
Imagine walking into someone's home, taking a dump on their carpet, and then arguing that you have every right to do so even when it's pointed out to you that 1) there's a sign on the wall saying "Don't Crap Here, signed, The Owner" and 2) others have been forcibly removed from the place by the owner or his representatives for doing exactly the same thing. Surely you understand the concept of private property and the rights of a property owner to set the terms regarding who's allowed to be there and who isn't?
