Default July, 1945......Targets Are Still Available... (Pic Heavy)

My current career is winding down, the timeline is July, 1945. I'm still finding targets, but one still has to search a little bit. I left Guam on June 29, 1945, headed for a patrol area south of Tokyo Bay by some 85 miles. I did not expect to find many targets available, so decided to take my submarine (USS Apogon SS-308) into Tokyo Bay and visit Yokosuka and see if any targets were there.

As you will see I find targets aplenty. Here are the results after the initial attack. FYI, the resulting screenies are after the first ten torpedoes.

Maya Class Cruiser

Hiyo Class Carrier

Kongo Class BB

At this time I have to give credos to the men in the forward and after torpedo rooms, the tubes were reloaded in record time. The next set of screenies were from the second set of ten torpedoes. The cruiser was the first target.

The carrier is next.

And last, but not least, the Kongo class BB.

Final Results are very gratifying.

May Class CA.

Hiyo Class CV.

Kongo Class BB.

And just to top off the patrol I came across a an Akita Maru while on the way home. Had two stern tubes left. One put her away.

Sorry about all the screenies, it was just a ball making this patrol I got carried away.
