I have a theory that the economy being as it is has people stressed out enough that we have no other recourse but to blame the administration. Add to that a deep-seated resentment and mistrust for the government that has built up over the last eight or nine years. I think people are just plain fed up, regardless of who they vote for. Who better to blame than the guy in charge?
