Wouldn't have thought so. TC is just that - a compression of time, so if roll in rough seas from right to left and back again takes about 8 seconds at 1x then at 8x it'll only take 1 second, 16x half a second... well, you get the gist.
If I TC then I'm usually at the Nav Map making sure there are no islands suddenly going to appear!
