Default Stem Cell Donor Refuses To Help

I opened the newspaper today and couldn't believe the headline.
We've got a 7 or 8 months old baby, Maxi, in the region who is suffering from Leukaemia. Without a donation of stem cells the baby will die. After a lot of effort a possible stem cell donor could be found in the USA. Now about two weeks later that guy simply quit. All that is known is he refuses to help. No explanation or anything towards the family of the kid. What sort of person does one have to be to do that? How can anyone be so cruel to simply decide to let a baby die?
If you should read this, yes you, the guy who ran from responsibility, then ask yourself whether you will be able to live with that decision for the rest of your life. It was your decision that the boy won't see his second birthday and it's not too unlikely that he won't even see his first!
Do you know what America wants to stand for? Strength, virtue and gallantry! Do you think you act like an American should? Step in front of a mirror, look yourself deeply into the eyes and then say with pride: I'm an American!
If you can't say it anymore with a voice full of pride, then rethink your decision and give that boy a life.
However, if you can still say it with pride then you really should see a doctor as there is something seriously wrong with you and you are behaving like the worst of people that your countrymen fought here in Germany 65 years ago.

This is Maxi and he depends on you and you alone!

I would appreciate it if some of our American freinds here could spread this over some US forums, no matter how small the chance is that this man will change his mind. I'm just so angry at that decision...
