It doesn't take special insider info to know for sure that there won't be any more patches for SH3. Ubisoft has already told us straight out that patch 4.0b was the last patch. Everyone who has been reading Ubisoft's press releases knows that's the case - it's hardly a secret.

As for whether SH4 will 'have nothing to do with SH3', that's a matter of conjecture. If you knew anything about it I think you'd be able to give a bit more info than that. Saying that it will have nothing to do with SH3 is no information at all. If you're saying that it will be a WW1 sim, or even a modern sim, I would welcome that. I am hardly terrified by the prospect of SH4 being unconnected to SH3. Personally I was a little underwhelmed by the prospect of a Pacific sub sim.
