Happy labor day to everyone.

The next list of questions:

1.) I've loaded the game but, cannot find any vestige of it on the computer? The lit said it would appear as Ubisoft in 'All programs'... not there. Have to (I guess?)start it from the disk everytime. Until this is solved I can't add mods ect...right? What should I do or is this as it should be? I generally don't want to start a career until I'm comfortable that all this stuff is set up correctly.

2.) What is up with test depths? Gato class were 300' and Balao's were were 400' or visa versa. Gauges look like they are meant for U-boats. tried all the different settings...no change. Is this part of a mod? if so, big screw up for a sim... no?

3.)a. Camera control buttons: I don't think I'm nuts but, the cameras control buttons seem to start out counter intuitive but then at some point right themselves and then switch back again? Very frusterating when every key stroke is time senitive.

b. Is there a way to record a part of a mission that you would like to replay? To either revel in your greatness as a commander or review your mistakes. Hopes are not high but thought I'd ask.

4.) Another frustrating thing that this game does that the original did a better job of is remember direction. Had a better general confluence from station to station so you you don't have to make stupid little adjustments at every switch or am I nuts? Any way to fix this?

I have read around the forums to try to get my questions answered.
I'll leave it here for now, sorry that I'm such a Windows knucklehead. The game looks great but as they say 'the devil is in the details'.
