Pakistan and Iran rival in Afghanistan for influence. Iran ndoes not like the Taliban, therefore. However, two points. First, In Afghanoistan alliances chnage as quiockly as they have been built, and second, Western mind considers the enemy in Afghanistan to be Taliban, and thzus means all enemies when saying "Taliban". But the Taliban are just one amongst several factions, they are part of the "enemy" - but the enem is not exlcusively Taliban.

I take it as granted that Iran heavily supports factions in Afghanistan that are hostile to the US. If these supported factions are Taliban, is something entirely different. But it cannot be ruled out - they may act by an idea of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". I would be surprised if Iran supports the Taliban with weapons and money - but only a little bit.
