My request for transfer to 7th flotilla was accepted
I started my 8th patrol, now from Kiel, on 29th July 1940 in my U-52 type VIIB. Patroling grid BF15. After 10 days, today I'm crossing AM52. I hope that BdU would change my base to St. Nazaire during this patrol. Or maybe it would happen next month? I conserve fuel in case of return trip to Kiel. Aircraft activity during day and night, 1-2 attacks per day.
Not much luck sinking ships yet, just 82t fishing boat south of Norway almost week ago.
