I had ~13000 on my last patrol. Would have been ~23000 if I hadn't run into the world's luckiest tanker.

Nippon Maru Tanker Sighted
14 torpedoes fired
Duds

Only got one torpedo hit, forward, and ran out of DG shells trying to finish him off
