Which version?
1935 (Charles Laughton, Clark Gable): Good, but goes with the traditional 'Bligh-as-monster' scenario.
1962 (Trevor Howard, Marlon Brando): Very good, well worth seeing.
1984 (
The Bounty)(Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson): My personal favorite. It makes Bligh a real person, and covers his epic 47-day 3600-mile (6700-km) voyage with 18 men in a 23-foot boat, navigating only with a sextant and a watch. It also covers his court-martial. Far and away the best, in my opinion.
I admit I haven't seen the 1916 version.
