I'm not an SH3 guy, but there is legacy stuff in SH4, so I thought I'd ask you experts.

The ship files in the SH4 roster have entries for the names of individual ships:

[Unit 1]
Name=Hakusika Maru
DOC=19170101
DOD=19470101

That sort of thing.

They do not get used, though I compulsively add every single ship name in a class to them just because

Did SH3 ever have anythign similar, so that instead of seeing captains log results that show a certain CLASS of ship sunk, you see that ships's specific NAME (the 1st in the convoy being unit 1, the next unit 2, and so forth?)?
