Well, I'd say together we're doing a reasonable job of keeping this lot informed. And we use different sources, so you get a more complete picture.
Maybe it's dropped frames in the video instead of FPS drops, maybe to keep video in sync with audio.
I hear ya on PS3... as far as I'm concerned, it's the more capable of the 2 (360 vs ps3). But it's more difficult to develop for, and Xbox is prety close to PC. In the end it's easier to make it for 360, do a relatively easy port to PC and then a more costly one to PS3. As a result, the PC version suffers in the performance (unoptimized) and the PS3 is missing stuff that would take too much effort to port, sometimes worse performance as well. Not always the case, but seems the general trend.
