Didn't think it would be a problem. As I said in post #3 it will be doen to whether the GSM spectrum support get dropped, not the 2g or 3g support.
It also means when you get a new 3g supportive phone (when your old one breaks or you flush it down the loo), then the new card will also work like a charm.
