Welp, with the help of Windows 7 I was able to easily shrink my main partition(without losing any data) on my External hard drive. I shortly realized afterwords that Windows will not let you make Fat32 partitions over 32gigs.

So I tried to use the 32 gigs to back up my ps3, only to get told that I need at least 145 gigs more. After resizing again I split my external drive into 1 300 gig NTFS partition, and 1 200 gig exfat partition.

With a little bit of findangling™ I was able to use command prompt(and this file I found online) to change the partition to Fat32. The ps3 recognized it and now I'm sitting here waiting while my ps3 backs up. The estimated time is 8 hours and 43 minutes.
