BTW Oberon where did you first see that "Countdown to Looking Glass"
I have to admit now it is one of my all time favorite films. It is low budget but I cant stop watching that ending. It was just so perfect... One might think.. "What happens next?" Nothing... nothing pleasant happens next. I am actually messing around with a story now of a person who watches this and it forced to react when the EBS sounds. As far as the story goes. Its over... Countdown To looking Glass is the perfect title in my opinion because looking glass is about the only place to be to be untouched by what what happened later in that universe.
Also the more I listen to the EBS tone at the end the more I think it is perfect. Some people claim that because it is out of place when it comes to Normal EBS procedure it is actually some kind of EM effect of a Detonation nearby. But it is obvious why it sounds that way, for those who know about EBS. If a station hears the real EBS attention tone from another station it is supposed to see what is up and tie in if needed. Broadcasting EBS tones then is likely unlawful because it would create a ton of false positives. Instead they created a tone changing high pitched effect meant to convey the pretend EBS activation but more importantly to say "The story is ending millions of people are about to die in this fictional universe and you get to think about it"
It is a DARN shame you cant get the video on DVD I don't understand why they diddnt put it out. It had some big names.
