Yes, the patch changed the crew's behavior regarding low morale. You definitely need to upgrade your version of the game. I don't know about players who got their game via Steam, but with my purchased DVD version of SH5, the latest patch (1.2) automatically downloaded the first time I loaded the game after the patch was released. Check the official Ubisoft SH5 site for information regarding the patch.
